Physiotherapy
Physiotherapists are “Movement Specialist”. They are specialized in how the body moves and what can affect the movement.
They thoroughly assess, identify the route cause of the injury which can affect motion and help you through different hand on techniques and exercises to get back to your routine.
They help you understand what are the risk factors and causes for your condition and how to take preventive measure.
Each human body is different, and physiotherapist keeps that in mind while designing treatment regime for the patient and so each treatment is customized based on the need of that patient. Physiotherapist may use electrical modalities, mobilization and manipulation of tissues and joints. They have expert skills to improve your movements.
Massage Therapy
Therapeutic massage therapists are the professionals who offer massage for the variety of causes like relaxation, recovery from an injury, chronic pain, stiffness etc.. There are different kinds of specialized therapeutic massages the therapist uses depending upon the goal of the patient. Registered massage therapists perform mobilization/manipulation of soft tissues like fascia, muscles, tendons, ligaments etc. to enhance the recovery of damage and stiff soft tissue structures.
Therapeutic massage not only relieves the pain but also focuses on other stressors on the soft tissues which can be due to overuse, poor ergonomics, related to injury or specific MSK conditions, it can also be due to faulty postures assumed at work or sports related. It helps to improve circulation and promotes relaxation and healing process of the soft tissue. It reduces the day to day stress and tension within the muscle.
